90 vs 92 tranny help!! please

i put a 90 tranny in my 92. can i use the shifter, shifter cable bracket and cables from a 90 laser non turbo 5 speed its got a 4g63 in it

wheni swapped mine from a 90 to a 91 the only thing i used was the bracket on top of the tranny that holds the cables, and havent had any problems

When I swapped mine 90 to 92. I tried to use all from 90 but won't go into 1 and 5. I changed the bracket and had to adjust the shifter to make it shift into all.

putting a 91+ in a 90 is a lil more difficult but a 90 in a 91+ you just have to change the brackets

no you need the bracket off the 92 tranny

Transfer the cable holder bracket and the shifter arm that bolts to the trans from the 92 trans to the 90 trans. Thats it, just those two things.

i didnt even use the arm, just the bracket, and it works fine, not using the arm just makes the throw a little shorter

Try it. I've used one that it almost the same that the 91.

so on monday im going to go buy the bracket cables and shifter from a 1990 4g63 non turbo laser 5speed hope it works. any suggestions???????
