My eagle is a 90 tsi awd. I got a motor pulled out of a 91 for it. From just a basic look over throttle body, and the cas were the most obvious differences between the two. Will it work? If so, how can the swap be accomplished? Futher details greatly appreciated, search yielded no useful results.

The only diff should be the vac lines on the TB, Just the location where the lines plug
onto the TB are slightly diff.

It should work fine

IM currently in the middle of a swap from a 90 laser to a 91 tsi awd there were ALOT of differences, the oil filter bracket was different and some of the stuff on top of the engine was different too, i just swapped all the stuff that was different off of my 91 engine to the 90 engine. Took me awhile but now my 90 engine is ready to go into my talon =) perhaps you could do the same thing just in reverse. It doesnt take very long took me about 3 days and I worked on it like 2 hours at a time each day

The vaccuum lines are not an issue. Both throttle bodies have 4 ports. Those can mostly be capped anyhow. Not a big deal.

I left my camera at work, so ill use a few month old pic of my engine. And snag a random 91 engine picture out of the gallery for example.

I thought about that..but im reluctant. My old throttle body and the sensors suck, my idle was lousy. And i didnt think you could just swap out the cas, i thought it was an intricate device used for timing. As far as oil filter bracket and the like go...im game. :thumb:
