90 TSI AWD for sale? good deal?

Its a 90 TSI AWD.. Motor is in great shape. Body is in EXCELLENT shape. Same with the interior (except the headliner sags.) But there is no tranny, transfer case or drive shaft.. Its a friend of mine's car. The motor was running great but the tranny went bad and pulled it and never got around to fixing it. And he doesnt know where the tranny transfer case or the drive shaft went. So I would have to get all new ones. He wants 500 for it but I know I could get it for 300.

So my question is, would these parts be hard to find? And would the prices make it not worth it? The car has been sitting for about 2 or 3 years now. What kind of problems could I run into with that?

I think that if you say the car is in the good of a condition then the car is worth buying. If you want to fix it the trans,trasnfer case,etc.. will probably cost 400-500. Althoguh even if you dont fix it you can part it out and make some more $$$

I would go for it, if you don't want it PM and maybe we could work out something. I need a third DSM for my stable

Is there anyway to tell if the motor IS indeed any good?
