90 Talon TSI Trouble!

I needed some help with my Talon TSI AWD, I was driving down a street ( i was stepping on the gas pretty hard and when i was going to shift into 4th gear it seems as if i shifted into 2nd gear(so it was a PRETTY TUFF downshift!!), After that the car has been making a noise like if the Clutch were loose or something, but the noise only comes on when lettin go of gas on gears 2-5 and in 1st gear it does it all the time, but whenever the car is being pressed on the gas it wont make it only when i let go of the gas, the noise is SOMETHING like a grinding in the clutch or as if something is rubbing or griding on each other while its spinning... The car still drives around and turbo kicks in perfectly but that noise has me worried cause I dont know what it can possibly be ... Any suggestions of what IT MAY BE OR WHAT IT IS...

Could be a number of things throw out bearing or tranny.

what do you think it could be, like to the best of you knowledge about these cars, cause i see you also got a Talon TSi, Do you need me to explain a little bit more about what sounds it makes and stuff like that??? Or you think you MIGHT know what it is, if you do, what do you THINK it can be??!!!!

It is hard to say what it is but your car is a 90 so if you don't know how much abuse is on that clutch it could be a # of things.P. plate,t.o bearing,fork,pivet ball.

Ohh, I have a ClutchMasters Stage 3 Racing Clutch in it... I dont know maybe that'll help a little

dude honestly, a lot of things could be causing that noise. it could be that the flywheel got screwed up from the high revs and is off balance or something. it could be that the fork broke, it could be a problem with the clutch, the throw out bearing, the main bearings, anything. what i suggest is flushing the tranny fluid and seeing if you see any metal/anything unusal in the fluid.

you should be trying to diagnose whats wrong, not just asking us what the problem is.

yeah i understand, but this happend like 2hrs ago and theres no where i can get my car checked until tommorow morning thats why im askin questions here so i have something to tell tha mechanic to check if he doesnt find anything, you understand?

The most you can do is pull the pin out of the slave and pull the boot off get a flash light and look in the trans.You mite find something without pulling the trans out.good luck.

check the clutch and pp first, then the flywheel, then the bottom end, and if he still hasnt found anything, open up the tranny and start with the front diff (center if your awd, then front) and then the input/output shaft(s). doesnt sound like it would be a gear problem as it is present in all gears. it is most likely your clutch/pressure plate because it is most evident when you have the most torque, but you said only when your taking your foot off the gas. that has me thinking flywheel as it will be slowing down and its probable to think that a loose flywheel will cause vibrations as the angular speed decreases.
