90 rear diff into a 91

So I need to swap out the rear diff from an auto on my 91 tsi to a manual one. I found a guy who has a shell from a 90 and said it's got the diff still on there. I asked him to make sure the car was a manual and if so I want to see if he will sell me that and some other clutch lines and such. (I heard the line from the master to slave cylinder is hard to come by.) Anything else hard to come by that I should keep an eye out for?

As long as you have a rear diff that matches the tranny that you have you will be ok. Auto tranny to Auto rear diff. Manual tranny to a manual rear diff. You can get a full stainless braided line from the master cylinder to the trans from extremepsi.com

ok thanks, I knew about the auto and manual differences, but I know some things like the ecu from a 90 need things done to swap into a 91-94. Sounds good though, and thanks for the link.
