I have a jdm motor (its a 90 motor) in my parts car and I saw the throttle body has just one line coming off. I think my usdm 90 TB on my car now is leaking and I wanted to know if it would be and upgrade to put this one on my car. Any info on this would help, thanks.

they both should be 60mm throttle bodies.. so you're not upgrading, just replacing. if your throttle body is leaking, get new gaskets from slow boy or another vendor.. they're cheap like $10 for the pair. the jdm throttle body only has one nipple on it because they don't have emissions... no charcoal canister or EGR stuff.. sooo you either have to eliminate yours or tee off of it.. when i swaped the j-spec motor in my car i got rid of the EGR and emissions.. :dsm: hoped this helped.

i dunno anything about the 90 t/b, i have a 91, and i am using the jdm t/bdy. the one port DOES NOTHING below about 3k rpm. if you install a vacuum/boost gauge to it, it will stay at 0 until about 3k, then it will jump to vacuum or boost, depending on how you are driving. the port is open all the time, it is just in a different position than the "P" port on the 91- t/bdy.

Well I just removed all my emissions so I dont need the ports so it comes down to should I replace the 90 usdm with the jdm one. Are the shaft seals any better on the jdm 90 or do the jdm 90s have the same problem as the usdm 90s. Thanks
