hey i got a 1990 tsi awd talon and i have a 1991 4g63t out of a 1991 talon are the sensors and the wiring harnesses the same? or will i have to switch some stuff around?

some of the sensors are going to be a little different. but nothing serious. I don't remember what all is different because my harness was butchered when i got it and i did the 91+ conversion.

your best bet is to park the two cars next to each other with both hoods up and check over all the sensors, coil pack, etc and see whats different. i really am not sure how much, if anything at all, will need to be swapped over.

Cam angle sensors are different, throttle bodies, coil packs, and the motor mounts are different. If I'm correct that should be it.

that sounds right, I was thinking cam sensors were in there also, and I know for a fact that the throttle bodies are different.

in any case, if you want to be completely sure, pull both motors, and swap everything except block/head from the 90-91 and drop the new motor back in.

i only have the block, head and the cams and timing case(and everything inside) i dont have the other car to compare to... i'm rebuilding the 91 motor so i have no down time with my car.
