90 91 change over parts

Anyone know all the parts between the two years that aren't the same? Like I know the cam angle sensor isn't the same. Well physically it is different but I don't know if it can be wire to work. Is there a difference in the coil pack? The throttle body's are a slight different. I'm putting a car together and gathering different parts from the two years. I have a complete motor with a 90 throttle body and coil pack, 91 cam angle sensor and engine harness. I'm looking for an ecu but not sure what year to get. I'm not sure if these parts will work together.

You are going to to need a 91 throttle body and coil pack. Off the top of my head I ant rmember what else. I had to swap a 90 motor into a 91 chasis as well... grab a 91 ecu too.

the 91 coilpacks have a triangle plug and no tach generator, what year is your harness from? what ever the answer is go with that year parts if possible. lots of the plugs for sensors are different,and if you use 91 parts they are interchangable with everything up to 94 good luck

Thanks! I have a 91 harness. I wanted to go with 91-94 parts but ran into a 90 throttle body and coil for cheap so I got them. I was hoping there was a way to get them to work with 91 parts.

Will a 90 throttle body and coil work with a 91 harness and parts? I read somewhere that you can get the coil to work with 91 up harness if you do some wiring mod.

the isc and tps plugs are different so i dont think you can make the 90 TB work..unless you hard wire it but i wouldnt go that route

Are there the same amount of wires? What if cut the wires and rewire to the correct plug connectors?

they have the same amount of wires..im not 100% sure on color coding but i suppose you might be able to hard wire it in or make a plug..i can check the colors tomorrow

You may want to double check your oil filter housing too, when I put a '90 motor in a '93, I had to find a '91 oil filter housing.

Screw the 91+ style oil filter housing. Do yourself a favor and get a 90 style oil cooler setup and keep the 90 filter housing. Then you dont have to worry about the oil cooler seal the 91+ model has breaking during a pull and all your oil spraying out and smoking your turbo and blowing your engine.

Most people do swap to the 90 style oil cooler setup though.

I have a 90 oil filter housing. I actually putting a 4G63T into my 87 Integra.
