Took the car out to a local track rental set up by my tuner, KP Tuning, last weekend and had some promising results. My previous best on the old torque converter was 9.685 @ 138 at 38psi.
First pass out I grenaded the t-case as soon as I launched. Great start to the day. Scavenged a yoke from a friend's spare 2g driveshaft and put my spare t-case on and headed back out. Slip breakdown for the first full pass was...
1.471
6.273 @ 114
9.680 @ 144 (29psi)
Best 60' of the day was 1.416 w/ the craziest suspension geometry i've seen in a while.
After that, I had to do my license passes so no more full passes that day. Went back to the track this past Friday and dropped a coil at the top of 1st during my 1st pass.
Time to start carrying even more spare parts. Car is fixed as of this morning and hoping to head back out some time this week with the boost turned back up. I really want to see what it does at 38psi so I can have a direct comparison between converters. Should be interesting...
Quick video I put together from two different views of that pass...
