ive decided to go with the wiseco pistons. 2g with e316g, evo8 fmic, 3"turbo back, 550s, afc2, 1g bov. what will the difference between these two ratios be? i am going to go to a 50 trim in a few months. with the 9.0 how much less boost will i have to run?
somebody give me a few pros and cons. i was not sure what to type in the search bar or i would have researched it more. thanks guys.

also, i think im going with the 272 combo and eagle rods.

I am going with lower compression 8.3:1. Because it is better than 7.8:1 (stock 1G).
But I wouldn't go with such a high compression because it will be hard to tune with my SAFC & CHIP compesation. (unleast you have a great tool like DSMlink and you are a great tuner)

Remember "TUNE" is the "KEY" here...

Anyway here is a great thread

Why not just stick with stock 8:5.1 ?

Best of both worlds

is it that hard to deal with a 9:1 ratio?
I always liked the idea of the 10:1 2.1L destroker from sbr.

They ran high boost (25psi+) on it too and made awesome power in the original turbo comparison thread they made.

EDIT: and since it's daily driven wouldnt higher compression be better? I would love some extra "oomph" when I'm at the damn stop signs that are at the crest of steep hill. Also the lower compresison wouldnt really matter so much at the track cause you're not climbing hills, you're launching and hopfully at max boost about 1 second off the line...

just my opinion

wiseco doesnt have an 8.5:1 do they? if they do then i cant find it. i would rather have a highway monster than light to light. thanks for the info guys

after viewing the other thread i may go with the 9:1 and the thicker gasket.......but i also think i may have the head milled a bit, so should i go with a lower comp?(milling the head will raise comp correct?)

no i dont really have my heart set on them, just seems like more people run them. ill check into the ross pistons a bit. will i need a 4layer headgasket? i plan on running around 22psi with the e316g, and probaly 24psi with the 50trim in a few months.
