Chateauguay,
Ok guys i know what you gonna say but i try to find the answer by using de search button but i want to make sure cause i dont find a good answer to my question... Ok i have a 93 TSI FWD and my 7 bolts engine got crankwalked ;) and i want to swap a 6 bolts engine in it. My question is: Do i need to change my tranny or it will be bolt on? Sorry guys i am new here and i try to find some answer but when i do the search, its like 45 pages to read and i need the answer yesterday...
Thx guys!

Mike

If you're asking this i highly doubt that you actually checked your engine for crankwalk the right way. have you measured the crankshaft endplay? why do you think your engine cw'ed?

Just a tip on searching.Wwhen you search use the advanced search, and search "titles only". This makes it 100% better. I never found the answers I wanted till i did this, but now its easy as pie.

I was driving around and a noise coming from my engine like bearing noise... It was there before but now is louder. I came back to my house and jack the car. Check the end play of crank shaft with my dial gage and surprise .027 inch of play!!
