i was wondering if anyone knows if a 7bolt will fit into a 1g talon that was origanally a 6 bolt with the manual 6 bolt awd trans i know that its a stupd swap but the 6 bolt blew up and i have a good running 7 bolt

1g 7-bolt should go right in and the tranny should also bolt up but you need an awd flywheel that has to be 7-bolt obviously, but the 2g 7-bolt has different electronics, mounts and a few other things that would make it pretty hard

If it is a 92-94 7bolt, it will drop in with only a 7 bolt awd flywheel needed. A 95-99 7bolt will physically fit but the block does not have provisions for front or rear mounts. On the 2g, the mounts were attached to the tranny, not the block. As for electronics, they can be switched over.

so the only thing that i would need would be a 7 bolt flywheel and as far as the motor mounts beings its a 97 talon that the motor came out of wont work? and as far as for the electronic go i know that the 7 bolt doesnt have the cam angle sensor but i was planning on swapping the head over to the 7 bolt block for that reason and plus it was rebuilt rite before the bottom end blew up but is there any other electronics that would have to be modified? thanks for the help i really appricate it

wiring needs some modding or you can buy the adapter plug, and im not sure about the motor mount i know you can swap a 6-bolt in (duh) a 2g with just modifying the motor mounts but im not sure if there is a way to do it vice versa. but do stick with the 1g head, they have way bigger ports and breathe much better

yea hopefully it will mount in im not to worryied about the wiring issue worse comes to worse ill just swap the engine harness out of the 97 talon with the ecu and use it i just dont want to do all that becasue ive done it before and it a pain in the a** and plus i dont want to use the t25 and the 390s in the 7 bolt because the talon is auto but well see ill do whatever i have to do i just dont want to waste my time and it not mount up and be screwed but thanks alot again i reallly appricate the help and space
