7-bolt Evo 8 rods and pistons

I have my oem pistons that I just bought but my buddy has some evo 8 rods and pistons that he said he will sell me for 160 bucks.
Sorry if I sound like a newb but what would it take to put in my motor and also would you recommend them?

BTW, the Evo 9 pistons are forged, and the Evo 8 pistons are not. You decide.

Ok thanks man yea I used the search but I was hoping to gain some insight
so basically it would not be worth it?
I can always send my pistons back and use those.
How much stronger are they then normal turbo pistons.

The rods are significantly stronger due to forging, the pistons should be stronger(not by much) but with higher compression.

the pistons i just bought were 220 so i might send them back and buy the evo rods
