One other thing. If you are going to put a 2G head ona 6-bolt block, you will need to bore out the head stud passages to clear the larger 6-bolt head stud hardware. Just an fyi.

I am still having a problem threading the timing belt side motor mount bolt into the frame but I will be ok.

I'm sure you would get it in time, but here is a tip that might help. The motor will naturally fall back to the firewall side. Pick up on the intake manifold enough and that through-bolt will thread right in. Beats forcing it and risking damage to the threads, and saves time. And this is easier with two people naturally.

OK, I'm also in the middle of installing a JDM 6-bolt in my 95 GSX and have a question about the coil packs. Do I need to pick up a 1G coil pack or can I use the 2g? I see it on the parts list from Magnus but does the 2g wiring harness connector plus right into the 1g coil pack or do I have to make some modifications to the wiring?

Swap Plugs 1 and 4 with 2 and 3 (order is not important)

On a 97+ car with stock 2G head

No plug swap or injector swap is necessary

For a complete 1G 6-bolt head/block

that is put a little confusing. if you do a 2g head you need to stick with the 2g water pipe, hoses, and water neck, the 1g stuff won't work. when you go to a 1g head you swap that that stuff. i know it confused me when we did my swap

im using my ngk wires from my old 7bolt on my 1g coil pack and it works fine.

Make sure you go with the proper 6bolt flywheel per your application. FWD tranny -->FWD 6 bolt flywheel. Same deal with the AWD trannies.

im guessing you havent tried it yet ..because my fwd 6 bolt flywheel worked just fine on my awd swap...13.8 @95mph .... i dont know where you heard that by the way????

Maybe because the FWD and AWD flywheels are different diameters. If you got a 6bolt FWD flywheel to work on an AWD tranny setup, then you didn't have a FWD flywheel to begin with.

Please stop spreading incorrect information.
