whaat's going on all?

anyways - straight to the point. i have a 1Ga Talon TSi sitting on my driveway with minor damage to the front end. (it's a long story, i'll just say it involves a suicidal guy on LSD. no joke.)

a 97+ 2G shell with a 6Bolt swap already done to the car has come across my path for not a bad price (shell is immaculate)... theoretically if he had his 6bolt swap done, all i'd have to do is drop in my motor.

the first question is: is a 6bolt swap into a 2G legal in CA? if not, then would i have to BAR it? how else would emissions go about?

second question: i was told my magnaflow exhaust system that consists of 2.5" piping from the cat-back, no downpipe, a carsound smog legal cat and a magnaflow muffler would be smog legal.. does this mean that it would pass smog emissions test seeing that this would be the only modification done to the car? (all my aftermarket parts have been removed besides this) i'm almost posotive the system would pass the audio/db test as it's not that loud at all.

most likely, i'll be buying another 1G and taking the parts (radiator support, passenger headlight fixture/house) and welding it/bolting it up to mine to make it driveable again... it would be my cheapest bet - but the 2G styling is mcdopesauce.

thanks for everyone's help once more!
