6 bolt throttle body swap to 7 bolt intake.

I couldn't find any info on this sadly. But i was wondering is it possible to swap throttle bodies? As of right now all i know is that ill have to match port the intake to the body. And if it is possible. could someone give me a quick "how to"? on the swap?

Alright cool! So i should be able to bolt it right in no problem? And will it make tunning anymore difficult?

As long as you plan to port match it like in the pics of 2nd link. You can benefit going from 52mm to 60mm. Use the new gasket to port match like you see inRRE method. I recommend new gaskets and check shaft seals. Bolt it up right and make sure no leaks. Make sure no metal shavings get into the intake manifold, even wth stuffed rags, a shop vac will help. As far as tuning well, this all depends on what you plan to do for more power, the bigger throttle body will help a bit when you decide to go for more power.

I have a 1g TB. ITs common on 2g's. Just port(or dont if you are in a pinch). Ignore the idle switch as you're TPS has a built in idle switch. Thats about it, nothing to it really.

You can also use 1g nt throttle body, only thing different is how the intercooler pipe connects.

If you don't port the intake manifold the 1g tb would probably be more of a downgrade than upgrade over the 2g tb.

If you use a 1g NT TB make sure you install turbo throttle body shaft seals on it.

Oh yea, , it would be a serious downgrade if you DIDNT port. I strongly suggest port matching the IM to the tb size.

Alright cool yeah. I literally have a miss match engine (6 bolt with 7 bolt head and mani, with 6 bolt TB) So the stock elbow off the normal throttle body should bolt right up or should i get a new one or port the stock one?

"with 6 bolt TB" - cool as long as the manifold is port matched to fit the larger opening.

"So the stock elbow off the normal throttle body should bolt right up" - Are you saying you want to take the choked down 7 bolt elbow and connect it to the opened up TB ?
You are Defeating the purpose. The smaller size of the elbow will not allow any more air in then the opening size.
The smallest point anywhere along the path of your turbo-intercooler-TB will be a choke point.

The car i took it off seemed to look alot smaller then my 2g's but maybe it was just me? Whats the size difference ?
