ok i am new to the turbo thing so. that being said i have a cel and i should all so say that it has a 6 bolt swap. i got on magnusmotorsports.com and they said that it one of for things. but after reading and reading i keep thinking that its a boost leak, but the cel came back after driving 5 miles.has anyone have this problem before.

Please use proper grammar, capitalization, and punctuation. Reading posts like the one above is difficult and makes others less willing to respond.

Do you know what the CEL code is? There is far too little information to provide a diagnosis at this point. Any unusual sounds, vibrations, handling, or gauge readings?

Also, how is this in relation to your misfiring? That would be an ignition problem, not necessarily throwing codes. Check your plugs and wires if this is the case.

Sorry I hate computers!
The people that swap the motor put a map sensor. with is what the code is. I was thinking about getting msd wires tomorrow.

I forgot to say about what it is really doing. there are no unusual sounds, the car vibrations only when the misfire is happening, the handling is fine minus the fact that i need to still get front brake pads, and there are no real things that stick out to me with my gauges.

without the code i cant really point u in the right direction but six bolt swaps are known to cause random missfires its on the magnus site for a fix for the "pot" mod or u can always get DSM Link but pull the code so we can help more

When I did the 6 Bolt swap I had the same problem. It would "misfire" maybe every 5-15 miles no matter what the conditions were. The car was IMPOSSIBLE to drive after the code popped up and it would have to be erased before I can drive the car again. Thanks to the Fella's that made DSMLink I was able to clear the codes and disable them from popping up again with its features. I would recomend DSMLink to solve your problem, The pot mod is hit or miss.

Im sure one of the Vendors on the site wil carry it, If not go to DSMLink.com and check it out. You can order it from the website and also checkout all it has to offer as well. They run around $550 usaully. You will need an E-Prom ecu if you dont have one already.

thanks guys for the help but now i got to wait pa finest got me the other day>:notgood: 74 in a 50 so i got to wait till i got some cash in my hand.

The ECU is underneath the dash. Remove your side panels covering the center console to the dash. There will be 3 10MM bolts. 2 on the drivers side and 1 on the passenger side. Disconnect your negative terminal at the battery then continue to disconnect the 4 connectors at the ECU. Then there will be 4 phillips screws onto the sides if you want to remove the cover to verify it's an E-prom.

thanks guy for the help.

heres a picture of it can anyone let me know if it e-prom?
