6 Bolt swap accessory belts....

I'll keep it short and simple....


I'm finishing up my six bolt swap and just want to know if there is a difference between the accessory belts for 6 and 7 bolts.

you have to use a 7 bolt ps belt/pulley. And for the alt belt you can prob use a 6 bolt either way, but if you use a 6-bolt alt tensioner you can not use a 7 bolt belt.

for the alt belt is the 6 bolt belt longer...I have a feeling that the belt I have must be the wrong one because it is way too loose.

Also it's alittle off the subject but with the 1g water pipe what is the bung the is facing down (next to the turbo) for?

6 bolt is half an inch longer or ia it a full inch.(its def longer) The water pipe bung is the turbo feed line.

I actually used my 2g belts ... the stock belt fit fine and it ran from the crank to the water pump to the alternator. The other belt goes from the water pump to power steering which I didn't reinstall since I got rid of power steering, but I would think the stock belt would work with that also.
