I found this 6 bolt short block for 230. First is it an actual 6 bolt because I do not know how to tell. Also it is "said" to have 100k on it. I am looking for a project build so I was wondering if this would be worth picking up.

Thanks

The only way I can tell is by looking at the flywheel bolts. If there are six then it is a six bolt. Ask the person to pull the clutch off it and snap a pic of the flywheel for you.

Oh and 230 sounds like a little to much to me.

get it checked for cracks in the block. and the mileage is a little bit of a moot point. if you're gonna build it, the starting point would be a rebuild of the motor. $230 is alright though. depends on what motors are going for in your area. i found a 6 bolt with the same mileage in my area for $150.
