Hey all, i bought a 1990 talon tsi awd in january with a broken timing belt. i had full intentions on doing a build anyways and jumped on this one when i saw how good she looked for her age. i started tearing her apart right away just to see how bad the damage was. Now 4 months later i have finally acquired all my parts I am begin the assembly process but seem to have forgotten a couple of things and was hoping someone here could help me out.
First thing is this: what is it and where does it go?

Secondly is this: do i have the knock sensor in the proper location? also does anything go in the hole above and to the right of it? i also noticed a hole up to the left, just outta view, does anything go there?

I think that was part of the balance shaft assembly, I have that same piece in my box of bolts haha. Someone chime in though, I can't say for sure.

Knock sensor is in right location.
