I just purchased a 1st gen talon tsi. Its bored. 20 over has je pistons eagle rods balanced and blue printed balance shaft is removed, 3g lifters, walboro 255 with re wire evo 8 560 injectors, greedy BOV, evoIII 16g turbo tubular mani and a evo o2 housing. Its automatic with translab shift kit and rebuilt. I just have do get a fmic and a tb exhaust. Im trying to make 500hp or a little more is possible with the 16g and what turbo is the best for my goal I want no lag I was gonna purchase a godspeed ic I had one on my srt and it was great has anyone used one. Will the auto tranny hold this much? Im new to cars my 9 sec srt just got totaled by someone driving three it. I don't wanna mess this car up also the motor only has 200 miles. Is piston slapping conning on cold start with these motors?
 
Hey all. I just purchased a 1st generation talon tsi after I my 9 second SRT was totaled. The current modifications include: Bored .20 over, je pistons, eagle rods, all balanced and blue printed. It also has 3g lifters, a rewired walbro 255 fuel pump, evo 8 560cc injectors, a greddy bov, and an evo 3 tubular manifold and o2 housing. It is equipped with a rebuilt automatic transmission and a translab shift kit.

I am currently looking into purchasing a fmic and a turbo-back exhaust system.

My goal is to make 500+ horsepower. Can anyone recommend a turbo that can meet these goals? I prefer as little lag as possible. I am also curious as to how much hp and torque my automatic transmission can hold...

I'm new to cars and don't want to mess this thing up....

Did you honestly just claim to have of owned a 9 second srt4 or some other srt?

But no you will not make 500 on a 16g MAYBE a 20g on e85 and crazy tuning. I love holset turbos because they spool fast and are CHEAP! I am thinking the HX35 is big enough. I'm sure Justin knows, I don't think there is a turbo he does not know. He even knows crap eBay products pretty well.
 
You didn't have a 9 sec SRT4.

If you did, you wouldn't be asking these questions.

But no, you aren't going to make 500whp on a 16G, and you aren't going to find a turbo with "no" lag that will make 500whp. The closest you are going to get will be an hx-35 or s256.

I was buying it until this point.
