Toronto,
I have a PTE 50 Trim with all the supporting mods and I'm looking at getting a SBR 3500 kit. My goal is 20 PSI @ approx 380-400 HP AWD. Would the SBR 3500 work for me? What flywheel would you recommend also.

The shop I'm getting this done at is recommending a CFDF. But I don't know if it can hold my car!

Hey Buddy

I have the pte 50 trim plus sbr-3500 fidanza combo, this clutch is awsome and the flywheel is really nice , but my only problems is my car like's to stall now and then, i would be guessing cause the flywheel is so light.

I would go that route. :thumb:

I would reccomend the 3500 and either an act streetlite flywheel or the fidanza. The fidanza might be a little lighter than what you would want on the street, But I dont know for sure. The act will require no idle rpm changes but still be better than stock.

I actually run an act 2600 but im sure the 3500 is as good or better. I have a 60-1 and run mid to high 11's and havent dynoed in a while so I can give you anything accurate. Last dyno was early this year and I made 377hp on 93 on low boost.

to help with the stalling issue that was discussed with the fidanza, we also have a Chromoly version like ACTs. It makes a nice combo with the 3500. If you have any questions regarding this set up or with the clutch feel freet to email me [email protected]

Im not sure either on my horsepower but i would say 350-380hp estimate, if you decide to go this route i would suggest getting it through ziggy on the ca dsm site (canadian dsm site) this way you save on shipping and ziggy deals with sbr all the time.

Hey nice to see a ca.dsm guy on here. I was actually going to go through ziggy for all of these. I might just go with greenGSXs advice and get the chromoly. Sounds more streetable to me.

GreenGSX : I only see an ACT chromoly, and not a custom SBR one. How much HP/Torque can this setup support (chromoly + 3500)

we have used this flywheel in our drag car with a high spec clutch to over 575awtq. so you shouild be ok.. we dont have them on the website, but i have 6 bolt ones in stock!

Ya i went with the SBR 3500 and Fidanza.

To be honest, I kind of regret it now. The Fidanza makes reversing a little hard because you have to keep the revs up or stall, but Rev too much (>2K) and I smell what I think is the clutch burn with the SBR3500.

They say it's slippable like the OEM clutch.... not even!

Basically, if you reverse, you have to do it fast with the clutch fully engaged or it stalls, or slip it in reverse and risk smelling ass if you go over 2000 rpm. :beatentodeath:
