Alright first off, im sick of my ebay 16g. Not that its crap, just want more power.

So i cant decide between a 50 trim or a 60-1. Im leaning towards the 50 trim for a few reasons, better spool, (in my opionion better for street car), wakes up at about 20 psi, and doesnt cost as much. Im looking for 350+ hp on my gst. This will be my daily until i pick up a p.o.s car.

As for my mods:

Walbro 255
Fuel Labs afpr
Apexi N1 catback
Megan Racing dp.
o2 dump
punishment racing fmic
Poly. Motor mounts
etc..

I ordered cometic headgasket and arp head studs. also, will evo 560's be okay to fuel it? I will tune with a safc for now until I can save for a dsmlink.

what do you guys think? I want to hear your opinions, what you would do differently, how have 50 trims worked for you in the past.

I would choose a 20g over a 50 trim. Most 50 trims are suspect to the same old garrett thrust bearing failures that leave you stranded and paying twice the cost of the turbo to get it fixed. Buy a factory turbo such as a mitsu 20g or a hx35.

20-25 pounds, im running a precision turbo it never failed me yet and its been over 3 years plus probley more because im the 3rd owener with the same turbo with no spool play :).. If your looking to make a top end freeway beast it will get you where u want to be. Mods: check my profile, everything but the bc cams, im going to redo the cams this winter.

Dont consider 50 trims junk. For example, the FP Green. Great street turbo and can be considered 50 trim territory. The PTE series is great as well.

Which turbine wheel and housing? Because every one here is only talking about compressors. And frankly, they all perform about the same with the same hotside up to a point, minus the terrible PTE bolton housing.

IOW, there's HUGE difference between an fpgreen and a pte 502; yet they both are "50-trim", having the same compressor wheel.
