Got a couple questions before i go through with this. My head recently got fubar (started as 1 valve seal turning to a few and using a qt of oil in about 5 miles) I did a compression test and it read 156-157-157-158 so its not my bottom end and the turbo isnt bad. Before i get too off topic, my bottom end has 82k miles on it and i recently came into some $ and am either getting a 50 or 57 trim, 650s, yadda yadda. Anyways what would you recommend for a safe boost on a stock bottom end, 3 bolt rear, and tranny? Im not asking in a newbie fashion, i know what both of these turbos are capable of, i just dont wanna compromise the reliability of my car with hp. For instance, say, ill have minor porting on the head done next week, 93 cams, one of those turbos listed above, 3in dp, and exaust, 650's along w/ the mods in my profile now, and an afc, would you say atleast on the 50 trim id be okay pushing 15-16 psi? I know its MUCH more flow than a 14b but i just wanted some advice.

To late, you are already way off topic. Instead of getting off topic and asking us about turbos how about you go search and see which is best for you

uh yeah, this was probably the dumbest post i have made on here to date. My turbo turns out to have about 3/4 in of shaft play up and down and thats the source of all my oil consumption.
When i posted, i was tired  but im considering a garrett t3/t4 50 or 57 trim. Im leaning more toward the 57 because of all of the other mods im also getting. I talked to someone at sbr and they told me somethign like 20-24psi will be about the limit on the stock bottom end.

SBR doesnt always know what they are talking about.. They said 20-24psi so you dont get crazy and blow the thing up.. My 60-1 has seen 28psi on a stock bottom end, and 91 octane.. Water injection is a wonderful thing. Screw the 57trim and get a 60-1

Took the words out of my mouth. The trim is a ratio of wheel sizes. Go for one of the bolt-on 50 trim variants or go for a 60-1. The 60-1 loves to make power on pump gas... I love mine!!!

i hear you.. its a bit laggy (probably not on your stroker motor) but once things get going it makes up for it. The 60-1 really doesnt get to kicking till 21+psi too.
