Hi im new to this forums ;)

I want to do some preformance upgrades on my engine but im not sure what should i get first.
I already spent 1-2 grand on the exterior and inside
so im not planing to sell it right now.
i wanted to start with something small first so today i went to the tuner shop to get an Air Filter, but none fitted in. the guy said that i needed to get the whole aftermakr pipes and that would cost arround 400-450, but that it would be cheaper if i get a custom "entrance" so the filter fit with the stock pipe what should i do???

Uhh...yea. That guys an idiot.

An intake is nothing more than a stationary piece of metal. No need to spend $400+ on a brand name.

This will work just fine. AND you're not paying out the ass for a brand.

The only intake out there for the 2.4 spyder Is by "Weapon R" , type that on the eBay search, and you'll see it.. It's still alot of cash for a intake , your call there..

How far do you want to go?

Basic upgrades like exhaust and the intake will give you a little bit of extra pep.

More involved would be either a DOHC head and turbo swap or a complete 4g63t swap.

Other options involve reducing weight both from the car in general and from the rotating mass.

The DOHC head will bolt right down to your 4g64 block. You'll need some new sensors, probably a knock sensor, you'll have to add some wiring, and a new ecu. You'll have to look up some articles but the information is out there and it is a relatively popular swap.

Well good luck on what your trying to achieve. As far as the head swap,Thats what most do.But according to Curts spyder web page, the 2g header from the 4g63t bolts up to our block, which from there you see where im going. The block and internals (pistons, rods)are basically the same. Just Google Curts spyder and go to the site. Although with stock internals you can only go up to 8psi on boost, correct me if im wrong about this guys. Good luck, and keep the spyders rolling!:hellyeah:
