4g64 ecu knock sensor

I need some help I have a 1997 eclipse spyder with a turbocharged 4g64 motor when i hooked up the safc2 i noticed there is no where to tap for the knock sensor so it does not display knock what can i do to fix this or is knock even important enough to worry about on my car

Knock is very important and a high priority in something that you should be monitoring. Try 4g64 group in yahoo groups. They are very knowledgable people and respond very fast.

You dont need to hook it up to your SAFC. The SAFC monitors phantom knock which is unimportant.

Want you do need to make your is that you have a turbo ecu in your car. This is when a knock sensor is important. It is very easy to do just read the website and ask if you have questions.

I want to strongly encourage you to disconnect your wastegate until you:

1.) get a bigger intercooler AND
2.) get the turbo ECU and knock sensor or a J&S safeguard

If you don't do these things you will ruin your motor with a 16g,punny stock intercooler and stock 4g64 ecu.

So it is very very important that you get knock control and better cooling.

Hah, yeah i guess i am a traitor, but also a pioneer at the same time. A g4cs block would be nice, but i will never rock a 7-Bolt as long as i live..

You do know there have been many instances of the '64 walking, right?
