4g64 bottom end w/ 4g63 head

I have a 91 fwd Tsi. Im dropping in a 4g64 block, crank, rods, with wiseco pistons, and the 4g63 head. My question is timing belt related. Has anybody ran the spring tensioner? Or do you use the hydrolic tensioner? Also, is there anything else thats very important with this swap that I need to know about? Thanks
