I'm thinking of buying a 95 talon tsi the problem is the motor is locked up and my question is what all would I need to rebuild the motor. I'm tryin to built a parts list

There are a lot of good running engines for sale right now. It would be easier and cheaper to just do a swap. Then if you want to build a performance engine at least you can drive the car while you build.

At this point in time I have a limited budget can't afford another engine my budget is $1000 I'm getting 're car for 300 bucks I jus need to kno what I need to rebuild it to runnin but where can I search for a motor for a good affordable price

We got a complete 7 bolt for sale out of a 97 Talon that was parted out for $700. And there are others around that price range on the classified. I still think your better off buying a complete runner to get you going.

Like the others stated your best bet is to get a good used engine and drop it in. Rebuilding the engine is going to cost you in parts and labor.

Me and a mechanic buddy are doin the work so labor is free thank God and I'll look into the classifieds for a motor

They're beautiful cars. I hope you'll enjoy it. They are getting older though so keep a few extra bucks around for replacing parts. Best bet is to have a cheap backup car just in case (or a friend with one). Have you owned a dsm before?

No I have not mauispyder I've always wanted one and found one for cheap granted the motors locked up can anyone that has a motor plz message me...

You can check classifieds here or try to contact a local dsmer. Craigslist can also be a great help for DSM parts. Unless you find one local you'll have to deal with transport costs.
My motor took a crap on me last week and I had several options, from 500-700 used stock motors to used built motors within a few days.

With that budget, I would just look for a used, good condition motor.
