Where would i go to get a good cheap used 4G63T engine for 1992 FWD eagle talon TSI?

Check junkyards or partouts on here. You'll want to get a 6 bolt motor for your Talon. What's wrong with yours anyway?

Yea. Well i have 1500 to drop to an engine. I was just looking to spend around 800. My motor got all rusted due to snow and i dont want to waste 1000 getting the crank worked and the C walls Honed or Punched and all that happy crap. I Figure buying a new motor would be better.

for $800 you could probably find a good crank from a NT donor, then some forged parts and get the machine work done. Rod/piston kits go on sale around here and ebay for ~600. I'm not 100% sure the NT cranks get the nitride coating, but they'll easily take you to where you want to be with the forged internals. If you need the coating, you can get a decent polished crank for about $200. Slightly over your $800 budget with machine work, but able to stand up to anything the rest of your $500 can throw at it and much more.

Alright kool. I found a motor from a dealer for 1245.00 @ 66k miles. So im thinking now. I will call around and get some quotes. And since i am going to be pulling the block and what not should i get it punched to the over sized?

6 bolt and i called the machine place where my buddy runs it. This is the costs he gave me.

Crank work-100$
Bore & Hone - 140$
Valve job- 165$
Hot tank- 40$
RR Pistons - 20$
RR Rods- 40$
Recondition block surface if needed- 70$

And if i want him to complete the motor all together its - 350$

Now the rebuild ordered from a shop with a discount is going to cost me 320 no shipping or core.

Should i go with it. He said the shop tax is 5% which the total would come out around 1292$ with everything in the world you could do to that motor done. I could save 300 if i put it together my self. The head has already been worked i just need the valves done.

Those prices are in the correct ball park. Don't forget you will need to purchase a gasket kit for the motor, new piston rings and bearings. I'm not sure how far you plan on taking your car performance wise, but I would consider doing the build the way you want it while you have the motor out and doing all the work now. Consider eliminating your balance shafts. Probably would want to look into getting a new oil pump also.
