4g63t in a colt vista

Say is there wiring kits out there to put a 4g63t in a na sohc 2.0 colt vista.I want to know cause a have a 4g63t 6 bolt block and im thinking of swaping motors. Im sure the motor mounts will mount up the same. but the wiring is the only issue i can see at this point as a problem i want to be able to use the stock instrument cluster and geuges.

this will be a fun sleeper wagon on the street. [if i can find a way to make it street legal]

You need the wiring harnes for 6 bolt engine..Some colts are 4g63t from the factory...

Since you are in California you will have to swap in a 4G63T as new as your Colt or newer to be emissions legal. Basically that means you need a cat, the original induction system from airbox to throttle body, and the EVAP system. Then you can take your car to the CARB referee to get a sticker saying it's a legal swap.

I don't think anyone makes an adapter harness but it's not rocket science to make the engine harness from a DSM match up to your wagon.

No colt was 63t powered from the factory. Some were 4g61t from the factory but op is talking about an expo/colt wagon.


A local guy did it here and then it was passed around about ten times and we have no idea where it is now. I can put you in touch with one of the guys who rebuilt the thing if you'd like.

my colt vista is an 1987. so to keep it smog legal I can use, the harness from say, a 1990 eclipse gst.etc
By the way im running the sohc g63b 12 valve 2.0 fuel injected four[note same thing as the 2.o sohc seen in the90-93 galant]. so is it possible to add oil squirters from the 4g63 into the g63b?
to make it like the 4g63t.plus drill a hole for the knock sensor is this possible?
I know the motor mounts are the same as my vista so I could do this either way im just wondering which would be cheeper.The 4g63t or the g63b frankinstien monster thing that can possibly be made like the 4g63. oh yeah some vista did get the 4g63 n/a version but it was the sohc

The first one is an original turbo colt (4g61t OEM) swapped to a 63t. The second link is actually my car.

I was talking about the now infamous (for trading hands 10+ times see: widsm.org) expo that went 10's years ago and was recently parted out after being put back together for the 100th time.

yes I dont think the turbo dohc was ever seen in a vista in the usa but we did get the awd vista here.

so ,who do you know, who has done this swap before?
I would like to ask some questions on colt vista tunning ,or see how it has been done. I mean dont get me wrong I am good at swaping ,things and all, it's just that id like any info to refrence from.
