4g63 rebuild

the engine in my tsi took a dump due to a blown head gasket and im goin to do a rebuild. what parts should i replace right now so when i go for even more power i wont have to replace them later. i just want the engine to be able to hold. im lookin at replacing the valve springs and retainers but what else could i do to make it internally stronger. i want to have probably around 300-350 hp at the crank when im through with the first set or mods.any advice would also be helpful. thanks

come on i know this site is here for a reason, and i know there are some pretty knowlegeable people here on the board. some people on here have to have some advice.

I don't think you need to replace valve springs and retainers if you are only going for 300-350 HP at the crank, unless they are broken or something now. Actually, I don't think you need anything in there stronger than stock for that power level. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Basic rebuild should suit you fine for that power level, the internals in the 4g63 are quite strong.
