4g63 rebuild need help

alright guys i am rebuilding a 92 4g63 n/t. i dont plan on turboing the car and i would prefere not to have to bore the block if i can avoid it. i have a few questions could i use 9to1 compression pistons without haveing to bore the block i dont thik so but i would like to know? second off what pistons and rods would you suggest i figured forged steel but what company. also any suggestions on cranks and cams

9:1 compression is low on a non turbo motor....

What are your plans for this motor? Nitrous? Racing? or just refreshing for daily driving?

If you don't plan on going turbo you're not going to be making ridiculous power. Honestly you'd be alright with stock rods, but if you want to, you can get some Eagle or Scat rods for pretty cheap (check eBay, etc.)

As for the pistons, you're going to want higher compression than that if you have no intentions on boosting in any way (including nitrous), probably more around 12:1 or so. You'd be looking at custom options with this, and you'd probably want to go with Wiseco pistons or something of that sort. But at the end of the day this all seems like a lot of work for not much gain... If you want to add nitrous, on the other hand, that's a different story. Then maybe you'd want to go with stock turbo pistons to keep the knock down.

Also, you don't HAVE to bore the block out, but it's recommended to refresh the walls and ensure that you have a good seal and nice, round cylinders.

so just have the cylinder walls honed out and fixed and 12to1 those will fit

i have a 1. and im sawqwping it in so i want some more power to yave fun with but daily dirver
