Resolved 4G63 Oil pressure sending unit.

Car is a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi

The gauge in my car hasn't been working since i bought it. I took a look at it, and I have a bunch of broken wires around the filter housing. I don't have any wires attached to the sending unit. Also, there is a connector looking thing, that looks like two wires going into it, but both are broken off. The two broken wires I can see look like they go into the connector. It looks to me like I'm missing the wire for the sending unit completely.

What I'm asking is if anyone has any pictures of what it's supposed to look like under there. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

the connector on has 1 wire to it. it clips on to the bottom of the sending unit,,(slides on it)

plugs in actually on the bottom, ( its upside down relative to the way it sits on the car)

mine would always come unplugged and id have no oil pressure, when you find the wire, zip tie it on there, zip ties are a dsm owners bff =)

I know what you mean about the zip ties . I have a case of them in my hatch.

But this connector is clipped on to the filter housing like its supposed to be there. And there are two broken wire ends coming out of it. And nothing the looks like it should be going to the sending unit.

The clip you are talking about, one end goes to the sending unit, the other up to the harness. Where it attaches to the sending unit you can use any female disconnect which you can get at any home depot or even wal-mart and slide it on. Hope this helps!

Thanks as well, my oil pressure gauge wasnt working as well, looked underneath and low and behold, the clip was undone Works fine now and can rule the oil pump being bad out of the question. Looks like a bad fpr.

Thank's i bought a 98 gst and the oil pressure guage wasnt working and i didn't know where the sending unit was thank's this really help.
