i know this has been covered on here many times but i cant seem to come up with a good answer....can anyone help me??? i want to know how much boost can my stock 7 bolt 4g63 hold if i put the arp head studs on it...and it still be trust worthy???? thanks alot sorry for this question i just cant find it on here

Stock your pushing 11-12lbs. your engine should be fine for up to 15, but anymore than that you will need a cometic head gasket, and a different turbo. the stock turbos arent good for anymore. So yah, take your time and do some other things before you turn up the boost, or the car will run no good haha

I can't tell you the max boost you should run but with a stock 7 bolt I wouldn't pass over 350-400 crank hp to be safe. Stock 7 bolt don't have very big rod.

some people can run from 25 to 30lbs on stock motor.. BUT its not about the psi you are running.. its how well your tune is to take that much psi.. people have run 20+lbs on pump gas and e85 or race gas c16 on much higher boost 25+ or 30+

If your tune is no good you can run 16 - 19lbs and boom you can melt pistons or knock the HG to death.. so dont think you can put arps and be set for 30lbs

short answer. arps can withstand 30+lbs with a good HG prefrebly MLS

also you need compensated parts.. Turbo, rods, hg, fuel delivery and a tuning device

Look up the STM Talon I think it is... he's on a stock 7 bolt putting out over 500whp I think. As mentioned before, it all depends on the supporting mods and tune as to how much it can handle. To the OP, if you're car is stock and you're new to boost then chances are you'll be happy with a good 16g setup in which case your engine will be fine with some ARP head studs. But first do a compression check to make sure the engine is healthy.

The OEM composite has been ran to 40psi with an oringed block and 30psi daily. Also for a MLS gasket you need to mill the block and head to have a mirror smooth surface for proper sealing surface. The stock 14b is good for up to around 2x psi and the T25 starts blowing hot air around 16psi. The OEM 16g is good for around 26psi. Please clarify which stock turbos you mention in the future and verify the accuracy of your "helfpul" posts as well.

On a stock fuel system with your t25 turbo then 15psi is the max. The larger the turbo from the T25, the lower PSI you need to run before reaching 100% IDC. A 16g will make you run 100% IDC at 13psi due to it's higher CFM flow.

Please dont talk out of your ass. The stock composite head gasket along with some arp head studs is good for plenty of power. Many members here are running it with anywhere from 20 to 30+ psi including me.

+1 noob giving noob advice.

im running 25psi on a 50trim with full supporting mods. original head gasket with arp head studs. ZERO PROBLEMS!

That's vague question. That depends on your mods. 15 is the absolute max you can run on stock or very minimal upgrades. To run 15 efficiently you'll need bigger injectors (550 would do it)bigger turbo (16G) either rewire your pump or get a 255lph preferably and highly recommended with an adjustable fpr, and aftermarket bov. You run 15 without those your turbo won't last long. I learned this years ago. Do the necessary upgrades before raising boost. Oh and you'll need a way to at least monitor and possibly tune. (Aem wideband, recommended ecmlink or safc)

Happy dsming

Ps make sure your maintenance is 100% before you upgrade.
