In the process of replacing the timing belt on a 2006 6G75. At this point I have replaced the Water Pump, Idler Pulley, Tensioner Pulley, and the new timing belt is in place.
I made a mistake and turned the Tensioner Pulley clock wise to torque it not counter clock wise. Subsequently, the crankshaft sprocket is not TDC and the camshaft sprockets are close but not perfect.
I have removed the new auto-tensioner and compressed the pushrod. I would please like to know what steps I should take now to get the timing belt components reset, realigned, and back to TDC without causing damage to the engine.
Thank you.
