Ive searched and searched. I have a 96 GST, i replaced the timing belt and water pump recently, and noticed i could never line up the timing marks, i was barely able to get everything to be near perfect but wasnt perfectly aligned, i thought maybe my timing was off or is it always like that?
Anyways, how do i reset timing, every thread i read everything seems to be adjusted by a Camshaft sensor. I own a 96 Eclipse GST Automatic, the markings on the crankshaft pulley are there, but i dont have a camshaft sensor to adjust timing like it says all over this place. I remember in my 95 GST (5 years ago) i was able to set timing by jumping a plug of some sort. I may be tripping and might be landing on a planet named Dahmmy if so someone please bring me back to earth with this my timing is off.
