If you are just trying to stay away from the act disc because of recent concerns you can use the act 2900 with a different manufacture street disc. This is probably the best to go as a balance between performance and price.
The trouble with puck clutches isn't only the clutch. They WILL be harder on your drivetrain. If you are dumping a 2600 or 2900+puck with a drivetrain anywhere near stock then you are slipping somewhere...or are just looking to break very soon.
BTW when you dump the clutch the shock to the drivetrain has nothing to do with the power you are making. So even if you arn't making gobs of power don't dump with too sticky a clutch. Just slip it in...watch the vids of sheppherd to see what I mean.
