420a wanting to be turbo

I'm having trouble getting help about how to build up my 420a the right way, I'm new with turbo so be patient, if anyones willing to help I'd appreciate it.

Yeah man, go check out the 420A forums. There have been a couple threads like this in the past month or so. Other then that, welcome to the boards.

Yeah, go join us in the 420A Forum... I'd read and search before posting. Alot of people ask the exact same questions. I currently have a thread going about my engine build, and then when the engine is done being built, I'm going to start on the turbo build. I always provide pictures and info with my builds. This is my 2nd 420A I'm turbo'ing.

Well, I had a 98 N/T for a couple years and going to 4G63 AWD was the best decision I think I could have made. However, BigRand, who is one of my best friends, took his 140 crank HP 420A and built his into a 285 wheel HP turbo 420A, and it has a ton left in it. So have fun with it!

Seriously the "sell your NT and buy a turbo" crap is exactly that. Crap. 4g63 guys are just scared. When I built my 98, for the week I owned it after I finally turbo'd it before I lost it, it was eating all the turbo guys alive! During that time, they were praising me, thinking my car was a nice piece of work. Now I'm building another one, they started up giving me the "sell the NT and buy a turbo" speach. They even want me to go with an older car, when they know I think my 97 is too old for me. I seriously hate that crap

Kid, Unless you spent 8grand on your NT, keep it! You can build it, and build a perfect turbo setup for it and still spend less then what you would for an equivalent Turbo DSM. Now I'm not badgering 4g63's. I've owned 3! A 95 GSX, a 90 GSX, and a 91 TSI AWD. This is my 3rd 420A Car, first was an avenger that I owned during the time I used to hate on 420A's. Then my black freak of nature 98 GS that I turbo'd and killed turbo setups left and right. And now this one which should be a god in my city. I love the 420A. I love spending a few bucks on a non turbo dsm, building it to become my dream car, and then looking at everything I have spent, and seeing turbo dsm's in the papers for the same price!

The point was, it is none of our (DSMTuner Members) place to tell you to sell your car for another one. I came here and asked what to do when I came across a damn good deal for a newer car, or build my current one to become my dream car, and everyone made great points which helped me decide to keep with what I started. I encourage the same!

A agree, turboing an n/a car was definitely the best experience I've had with my dsm(mine was a 4g63 n/a but same difference)...Do what you want to and don't let others influence. I love the responses I get when I tell them it began as a n/a car. big_d
