420 A will never be abell to handel the same amount of boost. It's a fact do to the motors high compression. I give the gies who build them props. But it's my personal beleife the chrysler just flat out sucks.

The 420a when turbo on stock compression indeed makes more power than the factory 4g63, but also has its limits. A built 420a with lower compression has no said boundaries...if you up the boost, you up the fuel accordingly etc. It's an expensive game to play, but it's definitely not a dead end road as some ignorant people may tell you :thumb:

LOL fastest RS-T in Alaska. Not many RS-T's there Im sure. But agreed with XM, a 420a with just a turbo slapped on at 8 psi is pushing the limits of the internals of the car. But a 4G63t is a bit more forgiving to boost and has a higher limit. If we are asking wich car has more power with a turbo a controller and no other mods. The 4G63t. We have to compare apples and apples so to say. And I have a RS that I DD that was bought before my TSi. I always wanted to Turbo it but figured a kit was about 3grand and I spotted a Tsi for 3grand and thought why do the labor and deal with other issues of a turboed non turbo car and I get to have two cars.

Hmm... we have rules in place to prevent the spread of misinformation, harassment, poor spelling and unnecessary argument over moot points. You've just broke several of these rules: the 420A is a perfectly viable and capable platform (one of which you apparently know nothing about), stock compression ratio has nothing to do with how well the engine will hold up to boost, abbell=able / handel=handle / beleife=belief, and 4G63 vs. 420A threads are not allowed.
 
OP - look at it this way... both the 420A and 4G63 are 2.0L engines. Both are DOHC. Both can be stroked. The 4G63 is 30+ years old and designed with antiquated drafting tools. The 420A is just over 10 years old and designed with modern CAD techniques.

The only thing the 4G63 platform has over the 420A is the availability of AWD... period.
