I have a 420a :dsm: and it his header cat back cold air intake high flow cat ngk wires and plugs and a five speed trans vs my friands honda civic 97 ex sedan :thumbdown it has a header catback and a cold air intake and a five speed trans will I put him away :thumb:

No "bench racing". Bench racing is defined as posting hypothetical questions to try and see how fast or how powerful your car is, or will be. If you want to know what time to expect at the track, whether or not your car can beat another specified car, or how much power it will have with a particular modification (or mod list), then go to the track or the dyno and find out for sure. Do not ask for people to guess in our forums. It's pointless and it wastes space. Serious enthusiasts go out and do it, they don't talk about doing it. If you're not serious about performance, find another online community to be a part of.

i don't think so. His is 135hp stock and yours is around 125hp. You and him have the same mod but hondas have more hp with bolt ons than :dsm: n/t. plus it come down to the driver. I think when his v-tec come in, your car would be left behind.

your kidding right? Can someone update me when we had 125 hp? besides the many things wrong he said in that satement.

what the #### is vtec anyways?? I never got that, I'm sorry I am well versed in all sorts of motors and setups but I never paid attention to hondas(for obvious reasons) Is it some sort of varible valve timing or a boost computer or what?

His Civic
Braking Distance (60-0 mph): 135 ft. Base Number of Cylinders: 4
Base Engine Size: 1.6 liters Base Engine Type: Inline 4
Horsepower: 127 hp Max Horsepower: 6600 rpm
Torque: 107 ft-lbs. Max Torque: 5500 rpm
Drive Type: FWD Turning Circle: 32.8 ft.
Your Eclipse
Base Number of Cylinders: 4 Base Engine Size: 2 liters
Base Engine Type: Inline 4 Horsepower: 140 hp
Max Horsepower: 6000 rpm Torque: 130 ft-lbs.
Max Torque: 4800 rpm Drive Type: FWD
Turning Circle: 38.1 ft.

Of course that doesnt matter to much cause it matters on the driver, plus even though you are faster by specs your car still weighs about 400 pounds more then his does.

And i dont know what IamCool is smoking cause even if he is talking about whp that would put him at like 107 hp. Still way less then the eclipse. But here is the best idea about his whole thing. GO RACE AND FIND OUT!!!!!!!!!

This is gonna get locked anyway :dsm:
