ok well here is the story pulled motor and tranny. I rebuilt the motor now when i mated motor to tranny i think i screwed tranny up. I have never worked on a tranny before so didnt set torque converter in tranny first, bolted torque converter to flywheel torqued it down. I then put it in car. Tried turning over and nothing wouldnt move so kept trying to bump it over for a while nothing. Called my uncle he asked if torque converter was set properly, I said no, any way pulled it out, set it then put it back in car. Turned it over started no problem. But wouldnt move anywhere shifter moved and acted like it was supposed to go, idle increase in gear. Got p1784 code. So figured it was torque converter i screwed up but i dont know, dropped tranny pulled torque converter off. It came right off but there r some metal shaving in the area around the splines on tranny, where the converter sits in and converter has 2 flat spots. I dont see any spots where the flat spots should go its just round in there. I dont wanna put the new torque converter back on if i am just gonna have to get a new tranny. So if anyone can help or post pics of what exactly it is supposed to look like would be awesome thanks a million.

does anybody have any ideas?
I would post pics but the camera wont focus in that small groove area.

Come on guys i know somebody has something for me. Is the some way to test the torque converter to see if its bad?

Your first post is poorly constructed and therefore hard to comprehend. Try using capital letters to start sentences and punctuation to end them. As far as your problem goes, post some pics so we are on the same page.

If the splines on the input shaft are damaged you will need to have it replaced. I wouldnt install the trans again. I lack first hand experience with the auto tranny and will have to refer you to the drivetrain experts.
