420a swap to 1st gen 4g63t

i am having a hard time in finding info. i want to swap out a 95 420a eclipse motor out and put a 1st gen 4g63t in it but i want to know what i have to do. thanks if anyone can help me get the info or steer me in the right direction.

You have a '92 AWD Laser? Then why do you want to do this? A search will answer your questions anyway.

Anything can happen with alot of money but it's pointless to do it. If you want another 4g63 car buy a dsm with one already in it from the factory. It will be alot cheaper and save you alot of headaches.

yea it would be cheaper to just buy one the way you wanted it in the first place...Trust me, I was a n/t 4g63 1st gen and had to go through the work to swap to make my car a gst....
But if you were content on doing it Id say you need the wiring harness, a 2nd gen ecu, ( would recommend a 95 ecu because of eprom. ) and the full engine, but the tranny is questionable about the mounts... And the motor mounts thereself would need a little fabbing, but i mean if you have proffesional help should be just like any other swap. No different than a honda civic dropping in a 2.2 prelude engine or something....

It shouldn't be too hard to find info. The question is asked all the time and the answer is always 'with enough money you can do anything...'

Of course it would be just as easy to swap in just about any motor, because the 420A and 4G63 setups are completely different.

This would involve a lot of custom fabrication and would be just stupid to do when you can get a motor-less GST/GSX shell for much much less and put the motor in there. I don't think you will find any info on how to swap the 420a with the 4G63 because that's been done probably not more than a couple times in the whole country and it's nothing that an easy walk-through can be written about.
