I had my car tuned at TI Dyno in Ashtabula, Ohio over the last 2 days. One of the first actual pull we did, before tuning, was around 120-130. After a few hours of tuning the fuel tables, the guy tuning was able to get the power to 167@6800. I think there may be more in there somewhere, but Im still really happy with it, 50 WHP increase over stock.

grats dude! Glad ya got some good numbers, cant wait to get mine on the dyno, and cant wait to see ya at the shootout!

Thanks man. I cant wait to get it to the track and see what I can make it run. DSM running or not, I WILL be at the shootout.

Well...Crower 2s under stock ECU control? Probably not much, maybe 10 HP at the wheels. Using something to tune it with after the install, probably 30 or more. Thats assuming half the power gain from MSII, and half from the cams.

I remember when you were asking about cams back in the day.. We ended up on the subject of dodge neon ecu's.. Great job man! This is a great setup and some really good power your making. How high are you revving this beast? Do you have an aftermarket intake manifold? What are the future plans for your setup?

Ha, thanks! At first I had the rev limiter set about stock, 7000. The dyno said we were still making power when the car hit it, so I moved it to about 7500. The power seemed to taper off after 7200 though, and the cams started making more noise, like Vtec or something. Were not sure if its the flow limits of my setup, or if possibly my valves are starting to float, but for right now Im happy.
Im using the stock Intake, but it is gasket matched, ported out slightly, and TB opening bored to 60mm to mate with my MP60mm TB.
For right now, Im going to just keep this set up, see what I can do with it at the track, and make it to the Shootout. I may have some more mods in the future mods in store...Some Mark Bullett style mods...

As I told you before Colby, looking good. You DO have a little bit more that you can out of her, but that's good for a start.

And Fotown, sorry to say, it looks like Colby may beat you to 14's :thumb:

Hmm, to the "vtech" noise. I'm pretty sure you put on something at least at the "4g63 springs" level, so I doubt that you are floating valves. MAYBE (and I stress that MAYBE) you are having problems with oil up top. What did you use for valve train? What did you use for oil pump? I'm sure you didn't use that DCR oil restrictor? Any signs that it is the timing up top? Do I see a CAI on that? I have found that the CAI can restrict air flow vs the "Ram Air" (shortie pipe).

Congrats again,

MB

Damn it bullet, way to add more fuel to the fire! I think i have the weight advantage though and gonna milk that to my advantage (because i have the rs equivalent). Either way, I think it would be a monster step to have 2 420a's running in the 14s at the shootout, be a good display to the others in the 420a n/a crowd.

To Turbo Brick, at this point I'd say its diffidently time to upgrade those motor mounts, you got the power, lets make sure you can keep it all on the ground!

Thanks! Im going to try to give it all its got at the track, hopefully I get some good numbers. I did install Crower Valve springs with my cams, but Im using the stock retainers. I havent changed anything with the oil pump or mechanics. Im not sure about the timing. According to Ben, the guy tuning my car, it would go super rich right before rev limiter. We managed to smooth it out a little, and the timing looks good, so I was still a little confused why I wasnt still making power after 7500 like Ive read these cams will. And yeah, thats a full CAI. I chose that over the SRI because I like the thought of getting cooler air from down low, and it flows right into the filter from the bumper.
