420a header

Hi everyone,

I searched on here for a couple of hours and i have not found a sound answer for my question. I ordered a header and downpipe off ebay and i realized that it was for a eclipse (95-99) and i have a 96 talon and it has the 420a engine. The header i bought fits the 420a engine and i was wondering... would it fit on my talon? its the same motor and i think it would but i dont know if the downpipe is the same or not. Thanks in advance.

yes your header will fit your talon... the downpipe will fit also..

but beware... i bought an ebay header, and when i went to install it.. the cat wouldnt fit on the downpipe.. the bolts on the cat were too big for the holes on the downpipe.. i had to switch out the bolts to smaller ones...

Ok. I heard that if you buy any exhaust parts of ebay for any car you can run into fitment issues but hopefully that wont happen with this one. I might reweld the manifold when i get it to make sure that it wont crack on me anytime soon. Thanks for your help

I believe that i have gotten an ebay header...i bought it off of a guy on craigslist for 50 bucks...i first installed the header to the head then the downpipe to the header and when i went to install the downpipe to the cat low and behold the holes on the downpipe were to small...so i had to unistall the downpipe and i drill out the holes to fit, went and reinstalled the downpipe back and now the downpipe doesn't reach the cat......has anyone ran into this problem and if so or even if u havent what can i do to fix it???

careful with ebay, I had fitment issues it's even DC sports..
