Does anybody know someone or where I can find a stand alone for my 2g Eclipse RS base model non turbo? I have full bolt ons, Fidanza cams, performance timing belt, and upgraded clutch with light weight flywheel but it seems like the idle drops after 1 hour of driving and it shuts off. I replaced a lot of parts already it doesn’t have a blown head etc. I haven’t replaced the fuel filter or injectors but I’m assuming a tune will clear this?

No overheating it stays in the middle I have gates thermostat mishimoto radiator and fan and mishimoto stainless steel bendable hoses since it’s a get/gsx conversion

I’m trying to build the first ever 300 hp naturally aspirated 420a I’m focused on the weight reduction and trying to mimic my eg comparing weight cuz the design is bs tbh the headers are too close the the fans so I wanted to radiator tuck custom with custom brackets and hoses and than take a lot of weight off so it doesn’t stress the engine and trans

I'm the guy to talk to about that. Bullet (@bulletdsm) is probably the only other. We'll both tell you that 300whp naturally aspirated is far beyond a challenge. You'll need parts and engineering that nobody else has access to. I won't deem it impossible, but I'll say that every off the shelf part plus a bunch of machine work will only land you at 200whp. With enough weight reduction and a skilled driver, 200whp feels like a fast badass car. Very powerful and in competition with built Hondas.

For the tuning solution, I'd go with MS2 or MS3 (MegaSquirt). That's what I used and there's plenty of support. You may not find a ton of information on these forums, but between what you will find and the information that is already shared, you can have something that starts and runs and figure out the rest through trial and error. I'm always here to help and DiyAutoTune are here to help. Proper tuning and unavailable parts are your goal, really.

I don't think that your specific issue could be solved by a tune. I'm wondering if you have low compression, or something of the sort. Anything that can be solved by tuning will normally pop up within minutes, or under heavy load at WOT. Hopefully you can do some more diagnosing to figure out that problem. I'm not only here to help with that, but also with the power chasing and proper tuning. Best regards buddy, and reach out with further questions. I'll show you what truly makes this the best damn DSM forum online. I owe it to everyone and the platform.
