420A 420a Black Box?

What is the black box that is under the intake manifold on the back of the engine?
It has two vacuum lines running to it.

What is it and what does it do?

Its a vacume box that works the cruise control.

So, if you have no plans on using cruise control is it possible to just cap off the two vaccum lines that run to the box and call it good?

Yes you should be able to. Are you planning on just removing the CC?

Yeah, Removing the CC, shortened throttle cable and the pertinant fun stuff...
Ditch the A/C...
