40psi in tire normal?

just got my new GSX, and it has prodogy tires 215/45/17 and stock is 215/55/17 right? and the tires say max 50 psi and they have 44psi and my old gsx i kept 30psi but i thik the tire said 40psi max so what should i keep in these tires 44 or 30?

I like 35 to 36 in my tires for everyday driving and then when I hit the track for some laps I usually pump them up to 40 psi. I would stay at 35 ish if I where you.
