I got a broken piece of a screw in my Left Rear tire, im assuming from my garage floor when i was installing my body kit...anyways... what is the best thing to do...the Tire lost a few PSI last night when it happened, but i went down a few hours later before i went to sleep to check it and it was still hard but not leaking anymore, it only seeped out a few PSI and then sealed back up, I went down in the Morning to check it before i left and it was the same thing, still nice and hard...i dont feel comfortable leaving it in...here is what i was proposing...put it up on a Jack, Let Air out of tire, remove screw, Put RTV on hole, Refill Tire... does this sound like a good Idea or what? Thanks

I've plugged numerous screw/nail holes with the $5 plug kits. I've never had one leak and the plugs have lasted the life of the tire.

Depends where on the tread it is, and what you plan doing on that tire. Plugs shouldn't be used beyond the width of the belt, which is usually about an inch from the sidewall. Punctures between there and the rim will scrap the tire.
Many shops won't do plugs. I don't have an issue with using them.
Since you're asking if RTV will work on a tire, you should let a shop repair it.

He's got a point about letting someone else do it but hell, this is a good chance to go out, learn about your car a little bit and get your hands dirty. If you really dont want to then so be it, its an easy repair though.
