400 miles on my 6 bolt swap and now the trans is acting up!?

I just got my 99 GST legally on the road so I can break in and drive the car after its long winter build. The car was driving pretty much perfect for the 1st few hundred miles other then some random misfire (links on the way).
Saturday night I got stuck in a merge situation so I got on it a bit harder then I intended on (breakin wise) but only took it to 4500 or so and shifted 2nd. Immediately after that I drove 3/4 for a few min and then attempted to go back to 2nd to slow. Oddly enough 2nd did not seem to be there!? Pulled off for a bit and when shifting 2nd (at a stop) it just wanted to pop out or seemed not to want to go in at all. I then drove it home and when driving I could find 2nd fine but not when the car was parked. Sunday the car seemed fine when driving. Today it was fine in the morning but on my ride home it acted up again. It pops out of 2nd gear if I clutch in and then release it. Sometimes unless I really force it in 2nd it does not go in. The clutch pedal seems to be a bit sticky now and it never was before (on occasion).
I can say for sure the shifter on the car is crap... its some cheap ebay one that came on the car but since I got it as a shell there was no room for complaints. Its lose and seems to have a lot of play but not having a spare to swap out I cant check that at this point. Im not sure if this could or is causing it. I will rebleed the clutch system but not sure if thats going to fix it coming out of gear, just the pedal sticking on occasion (the clutch is a brand new ACT 2100). At first I thought maybe I broke a fork in the trans but one minute it acts 100% normal the next its not so I dont think thats it.
Im just super mad and need to get this sorted out as I planned to drive this car to the beach in 2 weeks, otherwise its my truck which gets 10mpg :notgood:

Seems my slave or the line to the slave is leaking... so this better be the problem. I just need to get a new slave. Anyone know if its the same slave is used 90-99 turbo cars?
 
I just got my 6 bolt in and I am having the same trouble it wants to pop out of second. I wonder if it might have to do with the coolant hose running into the shifter weight. Please post once you figure it out. Btw did you have any engine issues when running the car mine wont even build boost.
 
Hmm, that quite possibly may have an affect on it. I want to cut my weight off but I forgot to when I was doing the swap.

My problem was in the metal line whihc runs to the slave cylinder. It corroded and started to leak (slow but leaked). I replaced the slave and master while I was in there working and the metal line and it all seems to be set as of today. Ill keep you posted and good luck with your car
