At what price would be fair to pay for a fourbolt rear end at a junkyard?

Considering I have seen them from 350-400 around here I figure anything below that would be a good deal. I was about to buy two 4bolts for 200, but they were sold out from under me. If its under the going price I'd jump on the deal.

At what price would be fair to pay for a fourbolt rear end at a junkyard?

With the current economy I have seen some go on the DSMLink forums for $275 to about $350. If the junkyards around you are anything like the ones around me, then I wouldnt be surprised if they charged you atleast 500 bucks for a complete rear.

If only my junk yard had one I could probably get it dirt cheap like $50 cheap.

I got my 4 bolt rear for $100. Just the pumpkin, axles, and axle cups. Didn't take the suspension. I assume that would have been more.

There were actually two of them sitting right next to each other, both LSD's. I was going to nab both of them and sell the second one for $200 so that I would basically be getting a 4 bolt LSD for free. But, I ended up not getting the second one because it was a flood car and the whole undercarriage was rusted to hell. Started in on it with some major PB blastering and finally said "F this" after I had broken about every bolt I had touched.

Then again I'm not sure how most of your junk yards operate. Our's are all "U Wrech It" style yards. This is where you bring your tools and you do the work. Therefore, their overhead is low and so are the prices.
